Every Tuesday in the month of September is a ‘Tuxedo Tuesday’. Adopt a black-and-white ‘tuxedo’ cat for half off the usual adoption fee. The fee to adopt a cat is normally $85; during the month of September on Tuesdays only, the fee will be $42.50. Kittens, usually $100, will be $50. In addition, if you adopt a tuxedo cat and you would like to adopt another cat, the fee for the second cat is waived. Any cat that is black-and-white (or even an all black cat with only one white whisker!) is considered a ‘tuxedo’ in the month of September.
This is Skittles and his family. Skittles was available for adoption for many months before he found his forever home – that was years ago. Skittles recently stopped by the shelter to say hello to the AHS staff and to show off his family. When Skittles was first adopted, the young man in the picture was half as tall and in the 3rd grade. Skittles and the young man have grown up together and recently ran a 5k race together… a happy tail for sure!
Meet Blue, formerly Autumn, with her new mommy. Blue was adopted in August of last year and recently dropped by the shelter for a visit. Lately we’ve been having quite a few alumni visitors and we love it!
Isn’t Blue adorable? Look at that happy-doggy smile on her face!
